Our wet dog and cat food factory, a special home for our passionate associates, produces millions of cases of flagship brands like Fancy Feast® and Beneful® Prepared Meals. As a Factory Quality Technician, you’ll ensure the HACCP/Food Safety Plans are effective and compliant with all regulatory, internal, and external requirements. You’ll help develop, implement, manage, review, and enforce the HACCP program and principles with a focus on prevention and education. An open line of communication with factory leadership and personnel to share feedback on HACCP compliance is expected. As a member of the factory food safety team, you’ll also promote continuous improvement as it pertains to quality and safety, the core of our culture.

  • Monitor the HACCP program, standard operating procedures and verification activities, ensuring proper corrective action and documentation for deviations.
  • Maintain the HACCP plan and scheduling of assessments, change control, audits, and other activities in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
  • Complete Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) reviews of paperwork and support internal and external audits, including ISO and regulatory audits/inspections.
  • Function as a resource in the development, coordination, and administration of HACCP-related activities and conduct employee training relative to HACCP principles and requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance on sanitary design and/or modifications of equipment prior to and during installation or construction.
  • Perform and document HACCP studies for new ingredients, packaging, drops, and products.
  • Conduct corrective actions for HACCP and thermal process.

 

Requirements

  • High School or GED diploma.   
  • 2+ years’ experience working in food quality, lab, manufacturing, production, or related environment

 

Other

  • Associates degree preferred
  • HAACP certification preferred
  • PCQI experience preferred



The approximate pay range for this position is $45,000 - $59,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
