Position Summary

For thirty years, Nestlé Purina has been proud to call St. Joseph, MO home to two facilities, a wet pet food factory and our Product Technology Center (PTC) dedicated to research and development. The PTC is home to dogs and cats who help us learn, research, and better understand the well-being of pets all while enjoying the best quality of life. As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll will work in our cattery and kennel at our Saint Joseph, Missouri Nestlé Development Center and provide veterinary care for a strictly canine and feline population. You’ll have the opportunity to develop technical skills within the role.
 

• Assist with necessary veterinary procedures to ensure the health and well-being of the cats and dogs
• Responsible for maintenance of all health records as required by the record retention policy and the Animal Welfare Act
• Perform physical examinations, request, and perform diagnostic tests, determine rule outs and diagnoses, and prescribe treatment.
• Perform soft tissue surgeries
• Conduct all activity in compliance with generally accepted veterinary practice, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and all required Company policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment
• Provide clinical diagnostics and treatment regimens for sick animals

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree OR will have obtained a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree by July of 2023
