Position Summary

 

We’re a leader in the pet care category and part of the world’s largest food company—so you can imagine our salesforce is BIG. In pet care, we focus our sales efforts within the retail and veterinary sales channels to ensure we’re at the forefront of consumers’ minds. You’ll become the expert in our products and the face behind Purina brands to your customers—some of the most well recognized and loved brands around world.

 

As an Account Manager, you’re responsible for joint business planning with customers to drive volume, profit, and share growth within the pet care category. You’ll become a subject matter expert with eCommerce strategies and tactics, but most importantly, you’ll leverage the support of your best-in-class team to share the excitement of growing the business in a fast-paced environment. Within the trusted partnership between your teams and the retailers, you’ll work closely with key decision makers and utilize category management initiatives, while implementing digital shelf, shopper, and media partnerships.

 

  • Develop and ensure effective execution of strategic business plans with Chewy partners that drive volume, profit, & share growth
  • Align with Content and Search Center of Excellence (COE) to drive digital shelf capabilities across key retailer sites
  • Develop tactical plans aligned with launch of customized e-commerce solutions
  • Leverage category insights, current trends and historical performance to develop and refine brand sales forecasts with high degree of accuracy
  • Leverage in-depth e-commerce platform’s insights and all available data to build comprehensive programs to drive consumer consideration, conversion, and retention for brands
  • Conduct post promotional analysis to evaluate volume, consumption, profit and spend versus plan, to then leverage findings to maximize future opportunities
  • Utilize sound category leadership practices to proactively link consumer and shopper insights/trends and opportunities
  • Conduct strategic Month Business Reviews (MBR) and Weekly Operational Reviews (WOR) with customer merchants

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years' experience in sales, account management, e-commerce, shopper/customer marketing, business development or category development activity with a manufacturer, distributor, or retail operations

 

Other

  • Must be able to travel up to 15% as business needs require

The approximate pay range for this position is $96,000 to $167,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with Company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
