Summary 

Our Nestlé Purina Children’s Center location is looking for a Lead Preschool Teacher. Our preschool program is unique and designed to provide each child with social and academic skills to reach their fullest potential. Join an experienced and committed team made up of early childhood professionals in an NAEYC-accredited early childhood center located on Purina’s campus in downtown St. Louis!  

When joining our team, you will bring your expertise and design lesson plans based on Project Construct in a play-based curriculum, while interacting with children and families. You will implement family-style dining and help promote a safe environment where children can be happy and active learners. Be part of a great team and help make a difference in a young child's life. We are seeking a nurturing, experienced teacher who brings energy and creativity to work every day to join the Nestle Purina Child Development team. 

Schedule: 

• 8-hour shift 

• Day shift 

• Monday to Friday 

• No nights 

• No weekends 

Duties 

• Work with children in a one-on-one and group setting through meaningful, hands-on learning activities 

• Prepare and design weekly lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate and differentiated for all skill levels and student interests 

• Design and execute math, literacy, and science learning activities that allow students the opportunity to communicate orally and in writing 

• Use daily mealtimes with the class as a method to incorporate learning, and social skills 

• Build schedules and routines for the children 

• Proactively communicate expectations, criteria for assessment, student progress, and students’ strengths and opportunities to parents and students 

• Promote and model a positive and respectful learning environment that focuses on positive redirection 

• Establish trust and bond with the children and families in which you will serve 

• Maintain a safe and healthy classroom by following all center health and safety guidelines and rules 

• Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethics 

Requirements 

• High school or equivalent (required) 

Nice To Haves 

• Early Childhood General Education Teachers: 1 year (Preferred) 

License/Certifications: 

• CPR Certification (Preferred) 

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
