Position Summary
Quality Assurance and the Nestlé Purina Analytical Laboratories department is comprised of talented individuals who possess a genuine love for pets and their families. As a Chemistry Intern at Nestlé Purina’s Analytical Laboratory, you will be responsible for assisting with the completion of assigned tests. This 10-week program, you will gain professional industry experience in an ISO 17025:2005 accredited laboratory and learn about laboratory safety, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) techniques, and Lab Management Systems.
- Perform analytical testing of finished products and various samples including in-process samples, stability samples, and raw ingredient samples
 - Complete sample preparation within your scope of assigned tests
 - Perform laboratory experiments independently or with other team members as instructed
 - Maintain laboratory space, equipment, and inventory in accordance with GLP
 
No relocation or housing will be provided for this opportunity.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program pursuing a degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry with an expected graduation date between Spring 2026 and Spring 2027
 
Other
- Academic exposure or professional experience with laboratory equipment and procedures is preferred
 - Familiarity of GLP techniques is preferred
 - 1+ years of working experience in a restaurant, retail, office, or other field is preferred
 
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $25.00. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
