Position Summary

 

As a Co-Packaging Specialist you will be responsible for the oversight and project management of several Co-Packaging projects with a focus on point of purchase displays, as well as, day to day key functional activities within the Co-Packaging group. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with both internal and external teams including Marketing, Branding, Quality, TAG, Supply Chain, and co-packaging suppliers/partners. In addition, responsibilities of the role include miscellaneous packaging, purchase orders, supplier bidding, and supplier contract edits. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Schedule co-packing and display projects to selected supplier based upon capabilities, schedule, and/or price
  • Monitor and generate co-packing KPIs using tools such as Excel and Power BI
  • Communicate with co-packers on new launches, revised packaging, bill of materials, and SKU changes to ensure on time completion
  • Continuous monitoring and review of promotional point of purchase display programs for potential process improvements and cost reductions
  • Coordinate Point of Purchase Merchandising display Pre-Production/Production on site visits at the Co-Packers with cross-functional partners to ensure successful execution
  • Assist in the selection of co-packing suppliers and packaging purchases
  • Set up information for contracts and new vendors and assist vendors with completing vendor profile forms
  • Work on departmental blocked invoices and invoice resolution
  • Monthly travel to the Co-Packers is required
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years’ experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics or related supply chain experience

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $66,000 to $89,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
