Coordinator, HR Services – Contingent
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide administrative support to multiple Purina factories across the organization, including data entry, personnel records management, and training coordination. Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate a strong understanding of applicable federal HR and payroll regulations.
Process employment-related transactions such as employee life-cycle events, pay changes, and other sensitive forms and records. Ensure timely maintenance and distribution of employee information, policies, procedures, and related communications.
Support a continuous learning environment by documenting and sharing knowledge across the team. Demonstrate administrative excellence by consistently meeting or exceeding departmental goals and contribute ideas to improve team effectiveness and operational efficiency.
The HR Operations Associate plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of HR Operations. This includes responding to routine HR inquiries, providing system expertise, and serving as a trusted liaison with HR Centers of Excellence. The role also involves supporting various HR initiatives.
Regularly interface with key stakeholders, including factory and field personnel, HR Operations, HR Business Partners, and HR Services teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine HR transactions and correspondence in alignment with customer requests and requirements.
- Process and maintain documentation related to employee lifecycle activities, including employment changes, and other HR records.
- Manage employee lifecycle transactions in a timely manner, including job requisitions, position changes, organizational updates, and separation or retirement processes.
- Assess customer needs, gather relevant information, and provide guidance or resolution options while navigating multiple HR systems and applications.
- Support high-volume workloads for assigned client groups.
- Serve as a communication liaison by identifying and sharing departmental trends, concerns, and improvement opportunities with HR Leadership, Factory HR, and HR partners.
- Collaborate regularly with HR teams through ongoing communication, participation in team calls, and support with reporting and escalations as needed.
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve departmental processes and documentation.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and team members to support efficient and effective processes.
- Help ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee records, including completion of Form I-9 verifications.
- Conduct New Hire Orientations as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline preferred
Combination of education/experience, in a human resources environment helpful
Experience (Years/Type):
3+ years of customer service-related experience
1+ years prior experience in the field of Human Resources preferred
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Power Platform (preferred).
- Ability to manage a high volume of transactions within HR systems, including employee and manager inquiries, transfers, promotions, terminations, leaves of absence, and payroll/timekeeping issues.
- Demonstrates strong learning agility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across groups.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities while maintaining accuracy.
