Position Summary:
As a Demand Planning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the demand forecast to improve end-to-end supply chain performance. You will leverage your strong analytical skills, proficiency in business intelligence reporting tools, ability to collaborate effectively across various functions, and experience with integrated business planning best practices to generate an optimal forecast. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing demand trends, generating insights, developing/refining key performance indicators, and driving performance improvements to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical sales data and market trends to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of demand patterns, seasonality, and promotional impacts to refine forecasting models.
- Cross Functional Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on demand performance, highlighting areas for improvement and actionable insights.
- KPI Refinement: Review key performance indicators and trends to maintain demand planning quality standards and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the demand planning function and implement best practices.
- Training and Support: Contribute to development of best practice materials related to demand forecast and integrated business planning processes.
- Data Visualization: Support development of interactive dashboards to provide insights on demand trends, identify forecast gaps, and enhance performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, or a related field, with a focus on data analysis and integrated business planning OR Associate’s degree and 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, or a related field, with a focus on data analysis and integrated business planning.2+ years of experience working with a statistical forecasting tool such as Anaplan, Blue Yonder, SAS, etc.
- 2+ years of experience working with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Looker.
- 2+ years of experience interpreting complex data sets to derive actionable insights
The approximate pay range for this position is $76,000.00 to $94,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
