As an Electrician, you’ll maintain repairs, replace and construct facility’s components including equipment, systems and structures in and around the Nestlé Purina Pilot Plant and Checkerboard Square using trade skills required of a journeyman electrician. You will, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code.

• Understand and apply the operating principles and application of AC motors, including motor starters and auxiliary control devices
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment/devices, including variable frequency drives, PLCs, scales, flow meters, and control valves
• Demonstrate proficiency in Ethernet communications, 4-20mA control circuits, and uninterruptible power supplies
• Utilize the National Electrical Code to properly size power supplies, junction boxes, wire, conduit, and over-current devices
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, including floor plans, power plans, ladder diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and power distribution one-line diagrams
• Install and apply all standard electrical equipment and devices, including conduit, wire, hangers, boxes, fittings, panel boards, and transformers
• Understand the operation of power generators, UPS systems, and associated switchgear

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License
• 3+ years of experience with repairs, replacements, installations, and maintenance of facility electrical components
• 3+ years of experience with single & three phase electricity and power distribution systems up to 480 volts

Other

• Industrial maintenance and/or electrical certification is preferred
• 1+ years of experience working in food manufacturing environment is preferred
• Must be willing to work Tuesday through Friday from 7:30am – 4:00pm and Saturday from 6:00am – 2:30pm.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed is preferred
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements necessary, such as lifting and carrying up to 50+ pounds, to meet the expectations of job assignments

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $40.61. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
