Position Summary
 

As an Expert Electrical & Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, scoping and executing engineering and design work, as well as the implementation of electrical and controls systems for capital projects. You will oversee engineering and design execution by Nestlé Purina team members and third-party contractors. In this role, you will work directly with Nestlé Purina Engineering (NPE) project teams and factory engineering teams to support capital projects and ensure alignment with NPE standards and ways of working.

 

  • Lead the electrical and controls engineering and design scope for capital projects, working with a cross-functional team of engineers that includes corporate engineering, factory engineering, and third-party engineering and design resources
  • Lead the execution of electrical and controls engineering and design deliverables, including power distribution single-line diagrams, network topology diagrams, control panel layouts with bill of material and schematic wiring diagrams, safety logic tables, construction specifications and construction package scopes of work
  • Develop capital project scopes of work, support the creation of engineering and design project schedules from engineering through commissioning, and create requests for proposal (RFP) for capital project engineering and design services for the electrical and controls scopes of work
  • Provide oversight and technical support for the creation of project engineering and design deliverables being executed by factory engineering, local project teams and third-party engineering and design resources
  • Provide engineering support in response to requests for information (RFI) during engineering, construction and commissioning phases of projects; and provide field engineering support to the construction team during construction closeout activities and commissioning activities
  • Provide technical coaching and training on electrical and controls requirements, standards and guidelines to factory engineering resources, local project engineering resources and third-party resources
  • Support the review and approval of project vendor proposals and drawings and participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) to verify that designs and equipment meet specifications, requirements and function

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 7+ years of experience with control systems design in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment

OR

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience with control systems design in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment

 

OTHER

  • Must be willing to travel approximately 30% based on business needs

 

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $118,000 - $160,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
