As an HVAC Mechanic – Site Services, we’ll count on you to leverage your sharp technical background and experience for the Nestlé Purina Maintenance team. You will be responsible for performing preventative and predictive maintenance to improve the reliability and safety of our facilities equipment.   • Troubleshoot HVAC systems (i.e., boilers, high- & low-pressure refrigerant systems, hot water systems, condensate return systems, primary/secondary chilled water pumping loops, air handlers, pneumatic & DDC controls)
  • Knowledge of basic principles of electricity and power distribution for single and three phase systems (up to 480V)
  • Apply and install all standard electrical equipment and devices according to the National Electrical Code
  • Understand the operating principles and application of electric motors and their control, including motor starters and auxiliary control devices
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of HVAC systems to identify and resolve problems
  • Assist with the installation of electronic equipment/devices (i.e., variable frequency drives, motor controllers, uninterruptible power supplies and lighting panels)


Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License
  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC/R) Certification and/or Associates Degree of Technology in Industrial Technology
  • Environmental Protection Agency approved refrigerant certification (Universal)
  • 1+ years of academic and/or professional experience of heating, ventilation, air conditioning journeyman within an industrial or commercial environment


Other

  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed is preferred
  • Must be willing to work Tuesday through Friday from 7:30am – 4:00pm and Saturday from 6:00am – 2:30pm.


After the 31st day of employment you must become and remain a member in good standing in the union.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $40.61. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with Company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
