Our New Business Models team consists of technical pioneers that design, build, and maintain groundbreaking technologies and product innovations that are transforming the lives of pets and their owners. What emerging digital technology will you add to the mix?
As a Lead Cloud Architect, you’ll come prepared with a strong AWS background to consult on designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based solutions. We’ll rely on you to lead our cloud engineering team to build and optimize our AWS infrastructure across products and services to meet our business needs.
- Lead the cloud engineering team to design and develop a scalable, secure, and reliable AWS architecture that aligns with our long-term business objectives
- Partner with the product architecture team to identify business requirements and create a roadmap for AWS infrastructure development
- Partner with cloud system administrator to optimize AWS resource utilization and cost by analyzing cost data and implementing cost-saving strategies
- Create and lead a structured monitoring strategy/solution that can troubleshoot AWS services, identify performance-related issues, and work closely with the development team to improve system performance and availability, provide regular reporting
- Stay up to date with AWS services and technology in order to provide recommendations regarding our AWS infrastructure strategy
- Manage and consult DevOps strategy, including continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and automated testing
- Create documentation/diagrams of AWS cloud architecture across product/services teams
Requirements
- High school degree or GED equivalent with 9+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing commercial AWS solutions OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing commercial AWS solutions required.
Other
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) is preferred
- Experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Dynamo DB, Lambdas is preferred
- Experience with DevOps practices, including Agile, CI/CD, and automated testing is preferred
