IT Expert Business Systems - Financial Operations

Position Summary

As an Expert, IT Business Systems, you’ll ensure a deep understanding of the opportunities and issues within the finance function and advise on the best system solutions within SAP FI. Translating business strategy into IT product requirements, you’re the link between IT and our business customer. It’s your role to define the needs, specify, test and deploy IT solutions. 

 

  • Ensures that the Product/Product Group Managers, Regional Leads and Business Relationship Manager are supported in the development of the strategy through incremental improvement of the product.
  • Provides specialist consultancy, guidance and support in specific technology based on subject expertise
  • Secures that program development, logic, process flows and specifications are analyzed, documented and tested
  • Ensures the training materials for the Product Group area are documented
  • Oversees the delivery of training to the end users, deployment and support teams
  • Supports the analysis and resolution of solution issues as part of the third level sustain
  • Facilitates business scenarios and use cases for the product mix, including product introduction, specification and the change management required to maximize its adoption/value
  • Coaches, motivates, and directs staff belonging to various organizations (business and IT) to understand the business needs and find the best solution that will both align with the customer objectives and the IT strategy
  • Is accountable for the identification of security & compliance requirements, including roles, associated with the business process and responsible for their consideration in the solution design
  • Partners with business and IT to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements, pain points or opportunities into IT requirements
  • Partners with the BRM and Product Group Manager to facilitate both strategy and innovation planning with business stakeholders
  • Consults with Product Group teams and proposes alternative solutions. Oversees the advisory on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and product priorities

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree Computer Science, System Analysis, Business, Finance, or related field of study
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis in a relevant functional area in SAP FI (e.g. General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Taxes, Treasury, Banking, etc.)
  • Experience working with Tax software’s (Vertex, Onesource), Order to Cash, E-Commerce integration etc.
  • 2+ Project management experience
  • Experience working with Cloud / 3rd Party Financial solutions (Blackline, Alteryx) is preferred
