Position Summary

As a Senior Procurement Category Specialist, you will be responsible for the development and management of sourcing strategies for assigned categories and subcategories. You will directly support the execution of Nestlé Purina’s strategic sourcing process in the North American market enabling value generation through cost improvements to company business units. In your role, you will identify and implement cost improvement projects while supporting material tracking to ensure supply and sustainable sourcing compliance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and modify sourcing strategies aligned with the business plan.
Ensure execution of sourcing strategies, sustainable sourcing and cost savings tracking.
Identify, analyze and present relevant market, industry and supplier information.
Navigate ambiguous situations, manage external vendor relationships and negotiate favorable outcomes.
Provide financial support for budget, price forecasting and other financial activities for procurement finance and the business.
Collaborate with functional leadership teams within the Nestlé Purina organization including business partner networks and above market teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of procurement category management, sourcing or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s Degree OR 4 additional years of relevant experience
