Position Summary

 

As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will manage capital projects with a focus on instrumentation, control systems and industrial networking. You will generate pre-project approval documents, coordinate bid package development and select contractors. This role also requires you to lead and execute project deliverables through installation, construction and commissioning. The Senior Controls Engineer will identify process control solutions and innovations as well.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage capital projects from beginning to end including concept, design, scope, cost, resources, funding and commissioning
  • Develop control panel layouts, control schematics, motor control center sizing and specifications
  • Monitor control system design progress and adherence to key project components
  • Maintain milestone schedules and ensure execution of work is compliant with company and project standards and specifications
  • Provide technical support for programmable logic controllers (PLC) and other instrumented systems


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience with control systems design in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
