Position Summary

As a Senior Engineer (Estimator), you will work with teams to estimate small, minor and major capital projects. You'll perform detailed and Order-of-Magnitude estimates consisting of labor, materials, subcontracts, equipment and internal company budgets. Additionally, you will assist in developing pre-project approval, work in teams to develop scopes of work, and manage estimates being performed for the company.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed and Order-of-Magnitude estimates consisting of labor, material, subcontracts, equipment, and internal budgets
  • Work in teams to develop scopes and coordinate project documents for capital projects
  • Manage outside firms performing estimates for the company
  • Format capital data and perform financial analysis
  • Review contractor proposals, perform bid analysis, and prepare historical cost comparisons
  • Manage and control project budgets, providing cost forecasts and cash flow projections to stakeholders

 

Basic Qualifications (Minimum):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of project management, engineering, or estimating experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment
