Position Summary
We’re working on innovative foods and formulas that rival healthcare, human food, and tech companies around the world—foods and formulas that can extend the lives and cognitive function in maturing dogs and cats. We’re developing ways to improve the vision of cats and minimize pet allergies through quality nutrition. We were the first ever to extrude dry dog food and we’re backed by a lengthy list of patents—a portfolio of industry firsts.
Over 500 scientists make everything we think about come to life. We’re nutritionists, chemists, immunologists, microbiologists, veterinarians, and the alike. As the Manager for Tech Program Management, you’ll explore, scout, and map the trends from academia, industry, start-ups, and vendor ecosystems around various emerging technologies for use in research and product development across our entire portfolio. You’ll have the potential to solve for strategic innovation needs, as well as creating technical insight to inform project and platform roadmaps.
- Encourage partnership and collaboration across people and teams to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify and recommend externally derived solutions to address R&D projects, business needs, and/or future innovation opportunities
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and help to determine relevancy of technologies for fit within R&D
- Manage the evaluation of technical solutions for external relationships while working collaboratively with the other functional leads
- Lead and manage portfolio of tech scouting partners and associated pipeline of efforts
- Engage with business and regional partners to support relevant efforts and align on resources
- Responsible for adherence to all requirements for Capital and Operating Budgets under the control of the incumbent
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- 5+ years of experience in technical, program/project management, or innovation
- 2+ years of experience making strategic and tactical recommendations to senior technical experts

- Experience with technology scouting is preferred
