Position Summary

 

Within Purina’s Corporate PR Department, the Marketing PR team supports all the U.S. brands in the Purina portfolio. Our team develops strategy for high quality earned media and influencer programs.
As a Marketing PR Lead, you will work as a strategic partner to a unique mix of talented and passionate individuals including the other members of the Corp. PR and Marketing PR teams, brand marketing teams, internal subject matter experts, and external agency partners to develop and execute best-in-class, integrated PR and influencer campaigns. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable PR experience while getting a front-row seat to how brands are built and designed to thrive, from inside the top pet care company in the world.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide counsel and support for our brand’s influencer strategy and campaigns
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with agency partner to develop influencer plan based on key insights and best practices, align on channel strategy, content strategy and influencer roster strategy
• Oversee influencer roster recommendations to ensure they meet established Purina requirements
• Review influencer briefs to ensure they align with finalized strategy, matches best practices, provides necessary information and meets established company guidelines.
• Work with brand and digital partners to align on integration of influencer content in paid, owned and shared channels
• Share paid content with appropriate partners and traffic when necessary
• Analyze data-powered, program-specific recap reports
• Distill cross-portfolio learnings and align on future recommendations
• Effectively manage agency partner teams at all levels of planning and execution
• Stay up-to-date with influencer best practices, industry news and relevant case studies
• Work with meta-agency teams to ensure influencer plans are seamlessly integrated
• Secondarily, work collaboratively with agency partner to develop earned PR plans based on key insights and best practices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM)
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Public Relations, or related field of study is required from an accredited institution.
• 1+ year experience in managing paid and organic influencer programs with a track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs
• 1+ year experience in PR with leading earned media programming

 

PREFERRED
• 7+ years of experience managing proactive communication efforts and influencer campaigns for companies and/or consumer products is preferred

• 1+ year experience in CPG and/or pet care publicity is preferred
• 1+ year experience in client service organization or Public Relations agency is preferred
• Familiarity with SAG implications for influencer content
• Strong writing and editing skills with a keen ability to translate complex information into consumer-friendly language
• Ability to read and understand research and speak fluently about its implications
