Position Summary

The Maintenance Operations and Start-Up Leader will play a key role in managing maintenance aspects of capital projects and initiatives to meet business, schedule, and budget objectives. You will support the End-to-End Manager and PEM to ensure all planned maintenance activities are executed with high quality and in time to meet vertical startup. A key aspect will be consistent collaboration with both internal and external partners including but not limited to Nestle Purina Engineering (NPE), Product Technology Center (PTC), Technical Applications Group (TAG), Technical Competency Unit (TCU), Quality Assurance (QA), Safety Health and Environment (SHE), Human Resources, Product Supply, Digital Manufacturing, Factory Operations, Leadership, and Vendors. You will be responsible for identifying areas where business processes and system-related changes are needed.   As the subject matter expert on maintenance processes, you will be expected to act as an effective coach for leaders and associates at all levels of the business.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead identification of maintenance requirements.  Ensure local site operational Maintenance constraints are identified and addressed 
  • Coordinate with factory and division to evaluate OEM Spare Parts Lists, determine critical spare parts for equipment and ensure spare parts are procured and available during commissioning and start-up
  • Ensure the creation and optimization of the maintenance plans in AMM to improve the quality and effectiveness of the maintenance planning system
  • Coordinate with the Technical Store on creation of assets BOM and spare parts ABCZ classification
  • Coordinate assessment of storeroom for storage of new parts/equipment components
  • Perform TPM readiness assessments of the lines
  • Develop and manage the maintenance plan for commissioning, qualification, and verification phases
  • Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years change management, business analysis and project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment OR Associate’s degree with 5+ years of project management, change management, and/or business analysis experience in a manufacturing, industrial and/or military environment

OTHER:

  • PMP or equivalent Project Management Professional certification
  • 1+ years’ experience in early management, operations, and/or a startup environment

This position will be located in Eden, NC. If located in St. Louis, this position requires domestic travel up to 75% of the time.
