Position Summary
As a Process Engineer you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and coordinate Engineering design and execution covering all aspects of material handling and process unit operations as applied in capital projects for wet and dry pet foods, pet treats, and cat litter. Technical expertise to include building capital projects, system design, manufacturing, simulation models, work methods, ergonomics, quality systems, database mining, and statistical analysis.
- Contribute to capital project development and execution using traditional Process/Industrial Engineering Tools, such as simulation modeling, six sigma, lean manufacturing, and statistical data analysis.
- Assist in capital project design/execution, equipment specification and procurement, development of BFD, PFD, & P&ID, technical model review.
- Create basic process operation documentation for capital projects to outline operational interface with capital equipment as pertains to quality, maintenance, sanitation, and production work methods.
- Design and develop queries within SQL to perform data mining which aid in capital project development and simulation modeling.
- Assist in capital project design/execution, equipment specification and procurement, development of BFD, PFD, & P&ID, technical model review. Requires ability to collaborate with and contribute to cross functional teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, industrial, mechanical engineering or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in process design, process equipment, process instrumentation, manufacturing operations, or process engineering support roles in food, pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing industry, or related environment.
The approximate pay range for this position is $75,000 to $100,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
