As a Coordinator Security, you will manage communications by handling radio traffic both to and from patrol officers, campus departments, and on-campus emergency and non-emergency lines, while working with technologies to utilize safety and security throughout our Purina properties. Additional responsibilities include:

 

  • Maintain location and status of all mobile units with computer aided dispatch system, logging daily activities in high detail and capturing call information quickly and efficiently
  • Provide vehicle information to security teams with the use of limited REJIS (Regional Justice Information System) portal
  • Answer emergency telephone lines and obtain detailed information necessary to dispatch and/or notify proper emergency assistance and lifesaving equipment, while remaining calm under pressure
  • Answer non-emergency telephone lines and respond to inquiries from associates, visitors, contractors and members of multiple departments, including executive leadership
  • Maintain security for Purina HQ, Purina Farms, and Flight Operations through real-time monitoring of cameras in key areas of the properties and investigating security threats, as needed
  • Leverage onsite Security technologies for CCTV, access control and alarm monitoring (including 24/7 fire alarm monitoring), mass communications tools, campus public address system, visitor management and more
  • Responsible for maintaining lost and found articles on HQ campus, ensuring all items are logged, tagged, and proper documentation is made
  • Ensure equipment issued to patrol officers is signed out and returned properly
  • Verify badge status, maintain access control and other activities as required

 

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of verifiable work history in Law Enforcement, 911 Communications or a similar field

  • Ability to work various shifts, weekends & holidays, including extended hours as required

The approximate pay range for this position is $40,000 to $50,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
