POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior Electrical & Controls Designer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and providing graphic support for all phases of electrical engineering work. You will develop system arrangements and handle a multitude of production documentation details within electrical, controls and automation design. You will also coordinate project pertinent electrical specifications, guideline adherence and calculations with the lead Electrical & Controls Engineer to ensure multi-discipline design coordination and compliance.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide electrical and controls engineering design support for capital projects
  • Execute technical design support integrating all aspects of food processing technology, hygienic design, machinery safety, process safety and equipment operational functionality
  • Develop CAD designs and documentation for power and controls, including programmable logic controllers (PLC), I/O, control panels, human machine interface (HMI), variable frequency drives (VFD), networks, layouts and other applicable instrumentation and power information
  • Maintain and develop Nestlé Purina Engineering technical design guidelines, design standards and pertinent electrical specifications with minimal oversight
  • Assist electrical & automation engineering in routine engineering functions as training and expertise permits
  • Maintain personal development progress reporting, comply with company safety initiatives, and complete annual company training requirements

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Drafting, Manufacturing Design, or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in drafting and design for electrical, controls and automation
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD® or related software

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $82,000 to $116,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
