Position Summary

 

As a Senior Electrical & Controls Designer, you will be responsible for planning, designing and providing primarily 3D graphic support for all phases of electrical engineering work. You will develop system arrangements and handle a multitude of production documentation details within electrical, controls and automation design. In this role, you will also lead and coordinate pertinent electrical specifications, guideline adherence and calculations with the project management team to ensure multi-discipline design coordination and compliance.

 

  • Provide electrical and controls 2D and 3D engineering design support for capital projects
  • Lead, maintain and develop Nestlé Purina Engineering 3D technical design guidelines, department standards and specifications
  • Execute technical design integrating electrical code requirements and all aspects of food processing technology, hygienic design, machine safety, process safety and equipment operational functionality
  • Coordinate 2D drawings and 3D designs for power and controls including programmable logic controllers (PLC), human machine interface (HMI), variable frequency drives (VFD), I/O, cable trays, control panels, networks, other applicable instrumentation, layouts and power sources
  • Collaborate with PLC integrators to determine hardware solutions for automated processes
  • Mitigate risk and escalate project concerns while driving alignment with scope, cost and milestones

 

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Drafting, Manufacturing Design or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in drafting and design for electrical, controls and automation systems
  • Proficiency in Autodesk REVIT® 3D design software

 

Other

  • Preferred, not required: proficiency in utilization of 2D and 3D design software programs such as Autodesk: CAD, Plant 3D, Navisworks®, Vault, and/or BIM 360

The approximate pay range for this position is $82,000 - $116,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
