Position Summary

 

As a Senior Expert Engineer, you will coordinate with Nestlé Purina factory and corporate teams within engineering, maintenance and safety to ensure adherence to all applicable electrical codes, standards and processes. You will continuously assess, streamline and enhance the electrical safety program as it applies to manufacturing operations at our 23 factories. In this role, you will provide the technical support and resources needed to execute consistent and effective electrical systems and controls safety.

• Serve as subject matter expert for electrical safety including code application, lock out tag out (LOTO) and hazardous energy control procedure (HECP) programs
• Manage a digital database that enables standardization, compliance and document management capabilities designed to efficiently sustain critical safety programs
• Coordinate consistent electrical safety framework and implementation across capital expenditure projects
• Maintain and continuously improve the Nestlé Purina electrical safety training program and provide support to factory personnel
• Communicate and collaborate with operations, engineering and safety leadership to ensure alignment with program strategy and execution

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field and 7+ years’ experience in an engineering or technical safety role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
OR
• Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field and 10+ years’ experience in an engineering or technical safety role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment

Other
• Must be willing to travel up to 50% based on business needs
