As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect materials, specifically focusing on capital expenditures related to pet food manufacturing. You’ll support Nestlé Purina's strategic sourcing in North America to achieve cost improvements and key performance goals. This role involves working cross-functionally with Global Procurement teams, factories, and North American operations. Other responsibilities include utilizing eSourcing tools as well as conducting RFP’s. You’ll use digital automation tools to support process and procedure improvements.   

 

  • Coordinate the procurement of capital equipment by collaborating with our Global sourcing entity throughout the entire sourcing process.
  • Proactively identify and communicate sourcing constraints or opportunities, including supply and cost impacts.
  • Source and negotiate “at market” requirements while delivering eAuction targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Nestlé Purina manufacturing facilities, including resolving vendor escalations and claims.
  • Manage daily follow-up with vendors, stakeholders, and sourcing teams relative to status of request, including closure.
  • Leverage external supplier relationships in key categories and manage procurement metrics such as cost savings and compliance.
  • Initiate and manage reporting and delivery of key procurement metrics such as cost savings, ensuring supply, sustainability, deviations, compliance and other tracking as required.
  • Effectively use Nestlé systems and tools for developing and maintaining necessary procurement documents.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Project Management or related field
  • 4+ years’ of experience in strategic procurement, logistics, supply chain or project management  
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $86,000 to $115,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
