Position Summary

 

Together, our Research & Product Development team is driven by a shared passion for pets and people. We have the extraordinary opportunity to innovate and develop products that improve pet wellness while remaining pioneers in the industry. We take pride in representing our portfolio of industry firsts with over 500 scientists including nutritionists, chemists, immunologists, microbiologists, veterinarians, and more. Our Product Development Specialist brings ideas to life for our litter division. As part of the Golden Products Technical Applications Group, you’ll lead end to end product development projects which include prototyping, pet acceptance and preference testing, sensory and consumer evaluation, and industrialization execution, while partnering with various teams to scale ideas from concept to factory floor. Leveraging your technical expertise, you’ll qualify new materials, develop and manage product formulations, and lead performance, quality, and waste reduction initiatives that help us continue to set the standard in pet care.

 

Buckle up because you can expect to work on fast-paced, multi-functional teams focused on taking new products from concept to market.

 

  • Lead the development, scale-up, and implementation of technologies that enhance existing products and support new product development
  • Serve as a technical resource for marketing to build and manage a pipeline of litter product development opportunities, including project plans and timelines
  • Support litter product formulation including appropriate ingredients, regulatory, and analytical requirements
  • Provide proactive monitoring and maintenance for assigned products using standardized scientific methods
  • Initiate and implement cost reduction ideas for assigned product lines and factories

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 1+ year of product development , formulation and scale-up experience, or related
  • 1 or more years of experience in geology, mineralogy, materials science, chemistry, environmental science, engineering, or related fields preferred

 

Other

  • This role will require up to 50% travel as business needs require

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $79,000 to $100,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
