As a Senior Digital Engineer, you will spearhead digital transformation initiatives within engineering design and manufacturing operations. You’ll leverage predictive analytics, machine learning, simulation, automation, and data-driven insights to optimize production processes, improve product quality, enhance operational efficiency, and accelerate innovation in a global manufacturing setting.
- Build data systems by defining data requirements, creating data models, and building pipelines to efficiently gather, process, integrate, and store data from various factory sources (including process historian, sensor, quality, SCADA/MES/ERP). Establish frameworks and policies to ensure data quality and governance.
- Design and implement advanced analytics pipelines, develop models and simulations, deliver insights into system performance, and support decision-making.
- Optimize production lines by designing and implementing digital and automation standards to enhance efficiency, consistency, and overall operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, gather requirements, and develop digital prototypes.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and lead innovative projects that deliver effective and scalable digital solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in data engineering, data modeling, and data analytics, with substantial exposure to manufacturing operations and manufacturing datasets
- 3+ years’ experience Python, SQL, and relevant data frameworks and digital platforms
Other:
- Experience in industrial automation platforms such as Rockwell and AVEVA, and knowledge of engineering software and manufacturing operation systems is preferred
- Experience with the Microsoft Technology Stack, including Azure, is preferred
- Experience with digital twin and systems engineering is preferred
- Excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, visualization, and teamwork skills
- Proven ability to lead technical projects from concept to completion
- Ability to travel up to 30%
The approximate pay range for this position is $100,000 to $132,000 per year. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
