Position Summary

 

The Sr. Solution Architect balances technological opportunities with business requirements and is responsible for the overall architectural direction of the organization covering apps, integrations, data, tech, workforce tech, and infra domains. You will be a thought leader that establishes guidance for product delivery teams with the goal to embed composable design practices, leverage AI to unlock value, simplify the landscape, and accelerate delivery flows. You will enable an ecosystem of practitioners that contribute, assemble and apply reference architecture patterns to enable rapid prototyping and optimize time to value. The role reaches across all product groups to provide a consistent overall visionon how to apply composable thinking to information and technology architecture. You’ll be responsible for driving reuse and sharing of technology and data to maximize valuedelivered to the business, ensuring agility and speed. 

 

  • Contributes to Enterprise Architecture strategy from cross-functional inputs of business, technology, and industry trends 
  • Helps define data architecture strategy while understanding impacts to apps and other tech that consumes data. 
  • Manages and oversees architecture design practices for the enterprise, ensuring a modular and composable approach working closely with solution, data, platform and security architects 
  • Facilitates the evaluation and selection of technology product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom configurations 
  • Defines and ensures adherence to the guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to secure product-based decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision 
  • Influences strategic IT vendors to ensure their delivery practices align with Nestlé architecture requirements (current and future) 
  • Develops relationships with Digital Transformation teams, Product Group Leaders and other architects to understand current and emerging business needs 
  • Leads the architecture community to leverage Enterprise Architecture patterns, reference architecture, and composable design principles throughout the lifecycle 
  • Guides delivery of cross functional architectural design leveraging defined reference architectures, technology trends, and implementation experience to translate business needs into a solution blueprint that represents an end-to-end solution 
  • Ensures delivery of architecture patterns for hybrid ecosystems that effectively leverage enterprise data foundation assets and incorporate API led designs 

 

Required 

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience 
  • 4+ years of experience working as a solution architect designing and managing complex IT solutions that follow agile methodologies and leverage an API first approach 
  • 8+ years of experience in at least three IT solution development disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or operations 
  • 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure and Mulesoft 

 

Other  

  • 1+ years of experience working with additional cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or SAP Cloud platform is preferred  
  • 1+ years of experience communicating effectively at different levels in the organization in English and navigating complex technology (e.g. AI/ML) is preferred 
  • 1+ years of experience of using AI/ML models and Automation in large scale projects is preferred 
  •  3+ years of experience understanding of agile methods and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact and risks, and taking account of technical and architectural debt is preferred 
  •  3+ years of experiences working in a global environment and with virtual teams is preferred
