POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Senior Manager, Project & Program Management, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of project managers to ensure the successful delivery of business and technology projects. You will provide strategic direction, leadership, and guidance on project management approaches, while also escalating issues and ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of project managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure their professional growth and success while ensuring successful delivery of projects under your leadership
- Oversee the planning, initiation, and execution of business and technology projects and their business cases, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Manage project resources, tasks, dependencies, and deliverables, ensuring effective utilization and allocation
- Track and report project progress, performance, issues, and risks, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management
- Escalate project issues and risks as needed, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation
- Ensure project quality and compliance with relevant standards and best practices
- Identify and implement opportunities for project improvement and innovation, driving continuous improvement within the team
- Provide regular performance feedback and conduct performance evaluations for project managers
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork
- Manage relationships with contractors reporting to you, ensuring they meet project requirements and deliverables and oversee the selection, onboarding, and performance management of contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, information systems, or related field
- Project management certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile largely preferred
- 10+ years of experience in managing business and technology projects of various sizes and complexities within different domains such as finance, marketing, operations, or IT
- 3+ years of experience managing people and leading a team
- Experience leading one or more technical integration project or program end to end
The approximate pay range for this position is $150,000.00 to $175,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
