Position Summary

 

We’re a leader in the pet care category and part of the world’s largest food company—so you can imagine our salesforce is BIG. In pet care, we focus our sales efforts within the retail and veterinary sales channels to ensure we’re at the forefront of consumers’ minds. You’ll become the expert in our products and the face behind Purina brands to your customers—some of the most well recognized and loved brands around world.

 

As the Sr Manager Customer Account, you’ll manage and develop resources for the Customer Teams to execute Purina sales strategies and objectives are focused on volume, share, and profit goals in an omni environment. We’ll count on you to team objectives and build integrated business plans and customer relationships as you leverage multi-functional resources for customer and business development.   • Accurately forecast projected monthly and annual sales volume and margin contributions
  • Continuously monitor and analyze overall business plan and progress in meeting goals and adjust activities as needed
  • Manage expenditure of financial resources in a fiscally responsible manner through use of Purina’s Trade Management Tool
  • Assess any customer’s competitive position, behaviors, and strategies. Leverage an alignment with strategic goals to maximize sustainable sales, share, and profit growth
  • Lead the development of annual customized customer “go to market” programs
  • Work cross-functionally within Purina: Customer Account Managers, Retail Sales Representatives, Finance Supply Chain, Market Development Organization, Order Revenue Management, Shopper Marketing, Analytics, and Human Resources
  • Continuous improvement of the performance management process with each direct reports, identifying and addressing performance issues, recognizing, and reinforcing performance excellence and evaluating year-end results and performance

 

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years of experience in account management, business development, or category development within the CPG Industry OR a high school diploma with 9+ years of experience in account management, business development, or category development within the CPG industry  

 

Other 

  • 1+ years of people leadership experience preferred

The approximate pay range for this position is $192,000 to $204,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.  Incentives and/or benefit packages may vary depending on the position.
