Sr. Manager IT Operations - IT Service Management

As a Sr. Manager IT Operations, you will be accountable for the continuous value delivery of IS/IT Product Groups and IT Service Management Practices across the North America zone. You will oversee sustain, deployment, retirement and leverage of the IT Service Management Products (Incident Management, Crisis Management, SAP Roles, Problem Management, Knowledge Management, IT Change & Release Management, Service Desk). You will ensure the effective and efficient operational support of all products and platform groups managed internally or by a third-party. The overarching goal of this role is to ensure the user experience is maintained at the right level, while the business disruptions are maintained to the lowest level, that quality, efficiency, productivity and agility goals are achieved at the best value for money and businesses. You will hold the accountability for all services across IS/IT worldwide within product (FTS principle applies regarding Crisis management and IT Change & Release). You will build and maintain relationships with product and platform group managers, developing a clear understanding of product/platform strategy and work with supplier teams to ensure good coordination of product changes without impacting IS/IT Consumers and business processes.

 

Maintain close relationship with key market stakeholders (CIO, BRMs and FRMs) and influence global product strategy/roadmap.

 

The primary location for this role is our St. Louis, MO office. However, we are open to candidates from North America living within a commutable distance to any Nestle headquarter office.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight in the products’ ‘run’ and 'maintain' phase to deliver the committed product business value, and provides input to peers
  • Provides technical escalation support for specialists and Nestlé suppliers to ensure service level objectives are met
  • People leadership for direct/indirect reports – 6 direct reports and > 6 indirect reports
  • Oversees and designs procedures and processes for operations within the area of expertise, including the definition of design requirements needed for successful operations
  • Leads the development of operational aspects for a set of products, and ensures their end-to-end integration and value delivery within the broader IS/IT landscape
  • Contributes to the annual operating and capital expenditure budget of the product/platform groups in scope within product strategic plan
  • Participates in the assessment of external and internal technology capabilities with a focus on suitability for integration with the existing IS/IT operations environment
  • Supports the product group sourcing strategy, and provides oversight for supplier relationship management
  • Enables and fosters transversal skills to support products, product/platform groups and/or streams to ensure operational excellence
  • Continuous improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of operational support for internally or by third party managed product or platform groups within in scope
  • Reports identified risks and issues within scope to the Product
  • Fosters a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques
  • Provides leadership, coaching and direction to the peers as part of the operations community


Requirements

  • Bachelor's in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field. 
  • 9+ years of experience in IT, thereof 3+ years in IT Operations. 
  • 3+ years of experience in effectively managing cross-functional teams, influencing key stakeholders, across the organization and within complex contexts and dealing with Crisis Management and taskforce initiatives to address services and quality. 
  • 2+ years experience in establishing standard processes and managing performance to achieve key metrics managing and controlling KPIs and task farces to accomplish targets. 


Other

  • MBA or post-graduate studies preferred
  • 3+ years of experience leading areas related to Incident and Problem Management, Crisis Management, IT Change & Release Management and User Management preferred
  • ITIL Certification preferred
