As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will develop short-term and long-term sourcing strategies for ingredients used in the manufacturing of our pet food products. You will support the execution of Nestlé Purina’s strategic sourcing process in the North American market enabling value generation through cost improvements to company business units. In your role, you will assist in managing supplier relations and work directly with factory teams to determine priorities. You will be challenged to think strategically, work collaboratively, navigate ambiguous situations, and ultimately determine solutions to ensure product supply.

 

This position will work onsite at Nestle Purina headquarters in St. Louis, MO.

 

  • Develop and execute sustainable sourcing strategies aligned with the business plan
  • Cultivate strong relationships with business partners and suppliers
  • Identify and analyze relevant market, industry and supplier data to inform critical business decisions
  • Assist with category budgeting, price forecasting and cost savings tracking
  • Provide logistics support for transportation of designated raw materials.
  • Negotiate favorable outcomes while working tenaciously through supply chain challenges
  • Maintain communication with cross-functional partners, stakeholders and functional leadership teams within the Nestlé Purina organization

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
  • 3+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, or related supply chain experience

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $70,000 to $91,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
