As a Sustainable Sourcing Specialist at Nestlé Purina, you’ll support the activation of Nestlé’s Responsible Sourcing & Human Rights Strategy as well as Nestlé Purina’s Climate Strategy to deliver on Nestlé’s Global Sustainability Commitments. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with Nestlé and Purina procurement teams, key suppliers, and internal and external stakeholders to identify, assess, address, and report outcomes related to traceability, natural ecosystems, human rights, and climate impacts. Your contributions will positively impact Nestlé’s global fish and seafood ingredient supply and U.S. beef, pork, and poultry ingredient supply.
This position will require working onsite at our St. Louis, MO headquarters.
- Implement the Nestlé Responsible Sourcing Commitment for the Nestlé global seafood ingredient category by tracing and assessing ingredient origins.
- Work to reduce climate impacts in Purina’s beef, pork, and poultry supply chains to support Nestlé’s Net Zero Climate Commitment.
- Report progress quarterly and annually for auditing and company reporting purposes.
- Engage in communication opportunities to raise awareness of Nestlé Purina’s sustainability actions and goals to build credibility with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with key departments to provide guidance on responsible sourcing and sustainability initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and management of the Sustainability Stakeholder Strategy, providing insights from external engagements.
- Serve as a contact for external stakeholders regarding Nestlé’s standards and commitments and assist with additional sustainability initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Conservation, Environmental Sustainability, or related. Master’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of working in or closely with ingredient agriculture supply chains. Seafood and animal agriculture preferred.
Other
- Ability to strategically communicate and collaborate with external stakeholders on sensitive topics within intricate supply chains.
- Demonstrated skills in data and information management along with ability to meet deadlines.

The approximate pay range for this position is $76,000 to $91,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
