As a Veterinary Resource Center Veterinarian, you’ll be at the forefront of innovative product development that’s improving the lives of dogs and cats everywhere. You’ll understand and share nutritional management for pets, providing expert consultation on Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets and Supplements. - Provide consultations to veterinary staff of clinics/universities, ensuring clear communication of complex nutritional information
- Utilize time management skills to navigate consultations and handle calls promptly
- Assist the Veterinary Resource Center with contacts regarding nutrition and diet questions from clinics and consumers
- Recommend personalized nutritional plans for pets, considering their specific health needs and comorbidities
- Maintain knowledge of competitive veterinary products and discuss their benefits and limitations with clinic staff
- Track inquiries and manage client information using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
- Adapt quickly to new information and changing circumstances in the veterinary field
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
- 1+ years’ experience in a small animal private practice or an internship is required
Other
- Previous nutritional training, industry experience, continuing education credit, or nutrition board certification is preferred
- CRM and telephony systems experience is preferred
- Nutritional management for comorbidities experience is preferred
- Ability to travel up to 10%
The approximate pay range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
