Position Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join our team in our Cereal Partners UK site as a Detailed Production Scheduling/MRP Planner at Staverton, Wiltshire.

A day in the life of a Detailed Production Scheduling/MRP Planner

 

Reporting into the Factory Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of material, recipe and resource master data within the SAP (GLOBE) environment and both the MRP and DPS plans within the team.  You will create and manage the short-term supply plan recognising all constraints within the supply stream for those assets you manage, to maintain the production plans.  

 

Other key responsibilities of this role will include: 


• Maintenance of our GLOBE(SAP) Master data environment.


• Validating, populating and providing data in accordance with published data standards and adhering to agreed timelines. 

 

• Self-auditing factory data to identify obsolete, redundant and duplicate data. 


• Using all the DPS system functionalities to enable an exception-based management and simulation planning approach to drive high levels of case fill rate.


• Support improvement initiatives in reducing waste, problem solving and improving efficiency.
• Maintaining production plans in coordination with other DPS planner at site. 


•  Create and manage an optimised replenishment plan for raw and packaging materials over an 18-month horizon that ensures a consistent supply of material to production.    


•  Monitor supply signals through the use of MRP purchase requisitions ensuring delivery dates, lead times and required quantities are correct.


• Create and manage purchase orders and ensuring their fulfilment by the supplier.        


• Work directly with suppliers on the delivery of materials: this includes creating, sending, confirming, receiving, investigating errors and discrepancies on blocked or parked invoice lines and handling all exceptions / issues in those operations, including claims management.

 
•  Managing stock projections and ensuring the production plan meets our demand requirements.


• Reacting to changes in the MPS plan to ensure that we are making the right products at the right time to satisfy customer demands.


• Working closely with Operations to create a detailed production plan that appreciates the constraints of the assets for both packing and manufacturing.

 

 

 

What will make you successful?

 

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who can demonstrate strong attention to detail and a passion to improve processes, you will have proven experience of working within an Operations, Warehousing or Supply Chain environment.

 

Other key attributes are:

 

 

•    Familiarisation and confidence with Microsoft Excel and GLOBE (SAP) systems.   

•    Ideally educated to A-level standards or equivalent.

•    Knowledge and experience in SAP Master Data maintenance or planning role preferably in an end-to-end planning, engineering or logistics role.

•    Experience within a factory environment would be advantageous.

•    An understanding of basic principles of Factory Costing and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) would be advantageous.

•    Ability to manage multiple tasks whilst remaining calm under pressure.   

•    Excellent planning and organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.   

•    Good analytical skills, high degree of numeracy.       

•    Ability to work in a team with a self-motivated attitude and flexible approach.

•    You will have a strong problem-solving mind-set, as well as the ability to challenge and improve existing processes.
