The role is days based and 42 hours per week with 200 hours annual leave entitlement as well as statutory holidays.

Position Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Services Engineer to join our team in Staverton, Wiltshire. This is an outstanding opportunity to develop your career with one of the biggest companies on the planet.
This role will undertake mechanical service activities throughout the factory including but not limited to Mechanical assembly, Fabrication, Shredding roll grinding & Welding. There will be both planned and non-planned maintenance on site which will also make up the responsibilities of this role.

A day in the life of a Mechanical Services Engineer
A large part of the role will be to be the first port of call for Shredding roll maintenance across the site. This will entail grinding rolls from stock or on rotation from the lines as well as physically changing the rolls in production.
The successful applicant will work closely with the production operations team to ensure that the lines have good quality rolls available at point of use.
Additionally, the applicant will support a wider mechanical role with small improvement projects identified through change management. Typically, this would be the manufacture of small items such as guards and guide rails etc. The role will also include some repair work such as pipe leaks on compressed air, steam, condensate, water and will develop to include more in the future.
What will make you successful
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working as an Engineer, preferably within an FMCG manufacturing environment. We are open to applications within maintenance, industrial services and E&A (Electrical & Automation).
- You will ideally be qualified to degree level in an Engineering discipline or have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
- Good knowledge of Asset maintenance
- Knowledge of TPM methodology is preferred
- A keen eye for safety and continuous improvement opportunities
