This position is for 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday

 

The CDL Class B Truck Driver is responsible for driving a Box Truck to transport and deliver products. They are also responsible for adhering to Safety Standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) to maintain the quality and quantity of the products produced.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Drives the truck to multiple destinations safely to transport and deliver products.
  • Completes the pre-assigned route as instructed and inspects the truck for defects before and after trips.
  • Notifies the supervisor of any issues that need to be addressed.
  • Loads and unloads scheduled deliveries efficiently and safely.
  • Operates a motorized forklift and pallet jack as required.
  • Utilize navigation tools to determine the most efficient routes for delivery.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks and other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborates with the loaders and supervision to move trucks and trailers from one location to another according to door assignments.
  • Moves trucks and trailers from dock to dock as needed to complete the loading process.
  • Ensures the trailer or truck is completely loaded and secured before moving from the dock area.
  • Works with transportation management to ensure the proper equipment is used on the proper route. 
  • Demonstrate safe driving practices
  • Work collaboratively, with a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Maintain effectiveness during major changes in work tasks or the work environment, adjusting effectively to within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 0-3 years of experience preferred
  • Must have a valid CDL Class B license & meet applicable DOT requirement.
  • Ability to obtain valid forklift operator certification
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills. (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Ability to follow safety procedures inclusive of Nestle’s Life Saving Rules
  • Ability to speak, read, write in English and comprehend simple instructions  
  • Physical ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs., stand, climb, bend, etc. within a warehouse / manufacturing environment.
  • Required to utilize and understand basic digital devices such as computers, iPad, etc.
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs
  • Follow SOPs, GMPs and all other company policies and processes
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and food allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish.  
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Maintain close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

 

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $26.50*. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
