Job Title: Detailed Production Scheduler – Purina
Location, Sudbury, Suffolk
Salary Circa £32,000 with other fantastic company benefits
Fixed Term Contract - 5 months
Shift Rotation over 7 days per week on a Rota and 12 hours per day from 6:00 to 18:00
Position Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join our team in Supply Chain as a Detailed Production Scheduler based In Sudbury.

A day in the life of a DPS Supply Planner
You will be responsible for creating and managing a short-term supply plan recognising all constraints within the supply stream for those assets you manage, to meet customer demand.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- You will be responsible for creating and managing a short-term supply plan recognising all constraints within the supply stream for those assets you manage, to meet customer demand.
- Working with the Operations planner and the production team to create the most effective production plans in line with market demand considering plant efficiencies and customer service.
- Using the APO system create MPS and DPS in line with market requirements respecting plant constraints and considering the best cycles to protect plant performance whilst achieving a high level of Customer service.
- Manage process in the execution horizon using a daily planning cycle
- React to changes in both supply and demand to realign or reprioritize the plan to minimize supply risks
- Controlling the inbound flow of raw materials and packaging and liaise with the MRP planners.
- To be an active participant in the Planning Team, providing suggestions, information and guiding indicators on issues such as plant capacity and utilisation and assisting the Operations Planner with information and reports as required
Who will make you successful?
You will have strong knowledge and experience of supply chain preferably in an end-to-end planning or logistics role. You will have a strong problem-solving mind-set, as well as the ability to challenge and improve existing processes.
Your excellent teamwork and communication skills will be accompanied with a self-motivated attitude and flexible approach.
