Head of HR Projects - Manufacturing 

Location Flexible - Nestlé Site + National Travel

Salary Range £65,000 - £75,000(depending on experience) + Bonus +Excellent Benefits

Position Summary

 

This is a great opportunity for someone to join and be a valuable member of the Ensuring Supply HR Leadership Team. In this role you’ll lead a number of challenging and complex transformational projects as well as providing strategic and operational HR support to a small but valuable customer base in our Technical and Production functional teams.

The projects to be managed span across our entire Nestle UK&I manufacturing and logistics sites and thus requires excellent project management, change management and stakeholder engagement skills. Key stakeholders will include senior leadership of the market and zone teams, Trades Union and Functional Leaders.

 

A day in the life of the Head of Projects

Managing multiple projects at any given time you will drive high quality delivery of all Ensuring Supply projects;

  • Responsible for the delivery of complex projects
  • Ensure projects are being delivered against time and budget
  • Communication of the projects with relevant stakeholders and project teams
  • Adhering to compliance, resource planning and project management processes
  • Understanding of the NIM business and awareness of key operational initiatives
  • Reflecting strategic priorities and planned activities and progress of projects

 

In addition, you will be a true HR Business partner for the T&P group functions (approx. 80 employees);

  • Ensuring alignment to and implementing the People Plan across the functions
  • Delivery of the performance, talent and succession processes
  • Providing coaching and guidance on employee relations matters

 

What will make you successful

 

This is a busy and challenging opportunity, with great exposure throughout the business. You will be expected to communicate at all levels as well as liaise with stakeholders across the Factories and business categories. You’ll be able to cut through the noise and simplify situations to reach pragmatic solutions that meet the needs of all parties.

You will have;

 

  • Proven expertise in project management skills, processes and tools
  • Change management leadership experience
  • Excellent people and communication skills up to and including the most senior level
  • A sound working knowledge of manufacturing excellence and performance improvement methodologies such as TPM or equivalent operational experience and knowledge
  • Professionalism and resilience in managing challenging and confidential situations
  • Experience of working in a unionised environment and dealing with industrial relations as part of operational and project activities
