Position Summary  
We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented, driven individual to join our Nestlé Purina business within our Factory as a Line Performance Manager.  This role is a key role for the factory; responsible for building the improvement strategy whilst having full accountability and autonomy for driving their area to World Class performance levels in Safety, Quality, Cost and Service.  

 

In order to achieve this, the Line Performance Manager will lead their production area and team through a change journey, passionately focusing on bringing a TPM mindset. This also include building individual & team competences to execute critical standards with excellence, whist building team autonomy and a continuous improvement mind-set to eliminate key losses and release capacity in a high demand environment and crucially working cross functionally with our sister factories to share and implement best practices.

Plus, there’s the added advantage of London being a 45 minute train ride away from nearby Colchester.

A Day in the Life of a Line Performance Manager …. 
This position is expected to drive Nestlé continuous excellence and continuous improvements through the operation and processes within our manufacturing Department by empowering and engaging the Operators, Lead Ops and Technicians.  

 

Other Key responsibilities of this role will include:   

•    Leading development of the 28 to 32 members, to provide appropriate skills and flexibility of workforce to suit current and future needs aligned to business goals, using tools such as coaching, competence matrices and development plans.  
•    Working with the Reliability and Engineering teams to coordinate and prioritise resource to achieve production and maintenance plans with quality execution and prevention of future and reoccurring breakdowns.
•    Leading and coaching operational reviews to drive and embed a continuous improvement mind-set to support the achievement of the site and Business objectives.  
•    Creating strategies and priorities for the line to deliver the drivers for the OMP in all key areas – SHE, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations and Cost. 
•    Coaching, training and assessing to ensure the capability of the team and the rigorous application of standards and methodologies, driving autonomy and accountability at all levels. 

 

What will make you successful? 
To be considered for this pivotal role within the Sudbury Factory, we are looking for candidates who have the passion to explore and be dynamic with improvement projects.

 

Other key attributes will include: 
•    Proven experience managing a team in a FMCG production manufacturing environment.  
•    You will need to demonstrate understanding of Safety, Engineering, Quality and Labour regulations. 
•    You will ideally have experience with TPM methodology – Autonomous and Preventative Maintenance Pillars.
•    Displaying strong initiative and drive for continuous improvement with a natural coaching & development style and a genuine interest in people development.  
•    A clear, strategic vision. 
•    Ability to challenge the norm.      
•    Experience of developing strategy to drive line improvement. 
•    Experience managing and implementing change programmes would be an advantage. 
•    Strong leadership capability and operational management experience. 
•    Problem solving mindset.
