Position Summary

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our Nestle Purina, Sudbury team as a Technical Storekeeper.

A day in the life of a Technical Storekeeper


In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of spare parts management routines to ensure optimum inventory levels and cost of operation. Your key activities will include spare parts management, inventory control, and competence building within the technical store.


Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute spare part management routines, including ordering, receiving, issuing, and storing spare parts to ensure availability.
  • Review spare parts reorder levels based on maintenance strategies to optimize inventory
  • Analyse slow-moving parts to prevent obsolete stock including annual review of spare part classifications to ensure critical spares are held in stock. 
  • Create and manage a competence building plan for technical store operators
  • Build spare parts management competencies within the Engineering department
  • Establish and execute inventory control processes, including cycle counting and user training
  • Assist with ad-hoc ordering of non-stock materials
  • Manage goods receipt process and work with Purchasing Coordinator to resolve blocked invoice issues
  • Collaborate with the project team to define new spare parts and set reorder levels
  • Utilize the AMM system (SAP PM module) for spare parts management

 
What will make you successful

 

  • Familiarity with Asset Maintenance practices 
  • Experience of inventory control 
  • Knowledge of AMM system (SAP PM module)
  • Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodology preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset
