  • Required qualification: BSc or MSc degree in technical field (preferably in food or chemical industry)
  • Expected experience: 3+ years of experience in factory environment (preferably in production or maintenance)

Position Summary

 

 

The Production Engineer is analyzing data related to production KPI’s (estimated Unplanned Stops, Planned Stops, Material Losses etc.) elaborates plans to improve the figures.

She/He works very closely with Shift Leaders to make sure these plans are executed. She/He works as the engine of TPM implementation in her/his area through practical use of

TPM tools and by developing people’s competencies. She/He is a change agent who is capable to follow SDCA cycle while continuously improves standards and has a strong LEAN mindset.  

A day in the life of...

 

  • Take part on the operational meetings (ZONE, DOR, WOR, MOR) in order to gather information and present KPI’s, provide actions for improvements
  • Prioritises task by never compromising workplace safety and product quality
  • Work together with and challenge sister departments (HR, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Safety & Environment, Finance & Control, Applications Groups) to gather support for sustainable results and create good team spirit
  • Analyse data (estimated Unplanned Stops, Planned Stops, Material Variances, Labour efficiency etc.) in order to come up with improvement proposals through Continuous Improvement. Follow SCDA cycle to provide the right life cycle for production standards      
  • Lead and master the activities of TPM implementation plan with specific focus on AM (Autonomous Maintenance) tools
  • Build the competencies of production employees in order to fulfil their task. Take the lead on knowledge transfer from maintenance to production
  • Coach shift leaders in discipline to standards and in developing their teams.

  • Experience gained in production environment (Shift Leader, Workshop Leader)
  • Experience with TPM, Autonomous Maintenance Pillar and its KPIs (Creation and use of metrics)
  • Advanced use of SAP, Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Good Analytical and Problem-solving skills, accurate and proactive personality
  • Able break down complex issues and present them 
  • Performing well both independently and in a team, able to develop strong relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Change agent
