NESPRESSO Japan: Retail and Trade Planning Manager

■Position Summary

The retail and Trade Planning Manager supports good execution of retail and trade activity plans including campaigns, and implementation of merchandising initiatives (POSM). Provide support in administrative processes with Key Accounts and internal Finance & Control function. 
Also, enables retail (Nespresso Boutique) and trade (via wholesalers) business by doing analysis, driving proposed activities to improve sales performance, and contributing to the implementation of cross-functional projects as well.
Number of dept.: 22 persons

 

■Required Qualifications, Experiences & Skills

Operation in excellence
• Liaise and collaborate with marketing to develop the optimum acquisition and activation strategy
• Deliver back-office support, including the alignment of internal communications 
• Provide business excellence support (i.e. process and tools)
• Implement merchandising initiatives in retail, co-working with Mktg.
• Manage and monitor the budget within the subdepartment
• Drive improvements and efficiencies in the organization by collaborating with other departments 

Maximize the retail experience
• Coordinate and implement Visual Merchandising at boutiques, both permanent and temporary
• Manage and develop the Visual Merchandising Community, e.g. empower the community to create best practices to further develop knowledge of VM as a sales tool
• Coordinate and implement Boutique opening campaigns

Maximize trade visibility
• Coordinate local trade marketing activities and projects delegated by HQ (e.g. trade take-outs, capsule change)
• Develop and implement the annual KA trade marketing plans in close collaboration with the Nespresso Sales Managers, KAMs, and the Key Accounts
• Develop and implement the on- and offline path to purchase in line with the Consumer Experience Strategy and in close collaboration with the commercial departments
• Design innovative tools to enhance trade visibility based on insights extracted from competition, market, and consumer analysis, in close collaboration with Data & Insights

Boutique development
• Corporate location search and approval process, aligned with Key Account Team
• Lead project management when it is confirmed with KA and HQ
• Maintain existing boutique quality, touch up and refurbishment, etc. for effective operation and good working environment for CS.
• CAPEX budget management
• Corporate with Key account manager for BIS relocation and other general matter with department stores
• Construction management: Schedule, design concept, etc.
• Find the best supplier with authorization from HQ 
• Manage multiple parties related to construction such as GC, designer and sub constructors etc.

 

■What will make you successful
Education:
• Higher education at a university or a specialist college
• Higher diploma in commercial, Horeca or equivalent

Professional experience:
• Min 2 years of experience in super premium HORECA or Boutique environment.   
• Experience in working with High end/luxury/ premium brands would be an advantage
• Retail Sales & Service    

     

■Benefit/Working Conditions
Annual Income(Gross): Around 6M to 7.5M yen (Pay Basis: Monthly) *It will be determined in consideration of age, experience, and skills.
Bonus: Bonus-Twice a year / Salary increase-Once a year (April) *It will be determined based on work conditions and, individual and company performance.
Allowance: Commuting expenses (paid according to company regulations) etc.
Holidays: Annual holiday 123 days / 2 days off per week (day off Saturday, Sunday, Public holidays, Summer / New Year holidays), etc.
Paid leave: 10 days in the first year (Given on the start day) up to 20 days
Working hours: 09:00~17:45 (Break 60 min. actual work 07 hours 45 min.) Discretionary Working System for Management-Related Work (After a certain period)
Social Insurance: Health Insurance/Employees’ Pension/Unemployment Insurance/Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance
