We are looking for a Material Requirement Planner to join our Wyeth Nutritionals supply chain team. In this role, you will ensure the availability of materials to fulfill the requirements of the production plans within the agreed cost boundaries.

 

A day in the life of...

  • Responsible for the planning activities of raw and packing materials to meet factory production program requirement at accepted required quality & quantity.   
  • Optimize inventory holding costs vs delivery frequency/related costs for major/key materials (Raw & Pack & inclusive non-saleable HALB).
  • Fulfill launch of a constrained, feasible and realistic Detailed Production Schedule (DPS) plans for Finished/Semi-Finished Goods for production run in consensus with MPS planner.
  • Monitor and expedite delivery of materials to ensure timely delivery for production. To manage day-to-day materials requirement planning (MRP) for factory and ensure Detailed Production Scheduling is consistently delivering achievable plans for factory's operations within given Master Production Schedule.
  • Coordinate & liaise with relevant stakeholders (Production, QO, Application & Technology Group, Warehouse, etc.) in area relating to MRP planning to ensure timely supply for local and export sales with inclusive of customer orders fulfillment for both export & local shipment. Highlight in the event of high stock of factory's related materials due to drop in demand forecast or low inventory stock with sudden surge in demand.
  • Manage exceptions & follow up with relevant stakeholders on corrective and preventive actions
  • Quality non conformance – liaison with QO team on estimated release, salvaging method and recovery plans & liaise with Procurement team on supplier performance improvement.
  • Material shortfalls – review on the delivery plan and reschedule recovery based on next arrival date with liaison with Procurement team where need be.

 Key Outputs

  • Create an optimized replenishment plan for raw and packaging materials over an 18 month horizon that ensures supply of material to production whilst ensuring that the working capital targets for raw and packaging materials are met; Liaison with MPS planner & production on weekly production program during WPR.
  • Monitors supply signals through the use of MRP purchase requisitions ensuring delivery dates, lead times and required quantities are correct and finally creating purchase orders and ensuring their fulfillment by the supplier.
  • Manages directly with the defined supplier the delivery of materials including creating, sending, confirming, receiving, investigating errors and discrepancies on blocked or parked invoice lines and handling all exceptions in those operations, including claims management; Manage deliveries to ensure minimum detention & demurrage charges and to liaise with warehouse team with a mindset towards avoiding these charges.
  • Define the stock policy and management approach to be applied to each SKU within their portfolio; Housekeeping in SAP to ensure Healthcheck targets are met and also to sustain and upkeep on material master data integrity relating to MRP planning.

 What will make you successful

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or related field
  • At least 2 years of supply chain planning experience in a fast-paced production / manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in the use of MS office especially Excel is required
  • Preferably with experience in SAP and APO
