Nestlé Ghana Ltd is currently looking for a Boiler Technician at our Tema Factory to operate, monitor, and maintain steam boilers and associated utility systems safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Ghana’s regulatory requirements. This role ensures uninterrupted steam supply to manufacturing operations while upholding the highest standards of safety, reliability, and quality

 

A day in the Life ………

  • Operate, start up, shut down, and continuously monitor boilers and auxiliary equipment (pumps, valves, compressors, and treatment systems).
  • Maintain optimal operating conditions, including pressure, temperature, combustion efficiency, and water levels.
  • Conduct routine checks and record operational data in logbooks to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Monitor and control boiler water chemistry; support water treatment processes to prevent scaling, corrosion, and fouling.
  • Identify abnormalities, troubleshoot faults, and escalate issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure continuous steam availability to support production requirements in line with agreed service levels.
  • Participate in planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities and support maintenance teams during inspections and breakdowns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping standards within the boiler house in line with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Contribute to energy efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement programs within utilities operations.

 

What Will Make You Successful? 

  • Experience with high-pressure steam systems and utility operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset.
  • Sound knowledge of steam generation systems and boiler operations.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping ability.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
