Minimum Educational qualification: Minimum of First Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, and other related fields.

 

Minimum Relevant work experience: 2 to 3 years’ experience in similar role. Working experience in the following roles will be advantageous: Production Planning, Material Planning, Supply Planning and Demand Planning.

Nestlé Ghana Limited is currently looking for Planning Lead to manage the production and material planning team in the effective application of best practices and efficient processes, to ensure material availability and right production plan to meet business needs whilst minimizing cost.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain a skilled, motivated team of production and material planners to continuously improve the quality of the production schedules and material requirement plans at the efficiency with which their called-off is required.
  • Development of robust succession plans for Planning Team to ensure business continuity.
  • Ensure continuous alignment with Business priorities, initiatives and activities, and the delivery of performance to agreed KPI levels.
  • Communicate material constraints to all stakeholders and support on timely resolution of identified potential risks.
  • Participate in Innovation and Renovation projects (I&R) and launch of new products such as promotions, change of recipe and new packaging change, managing effectively phase-in phase-out of all materials to minimize write-offs.
  • Lead the Material and Production Planning team in the effective application of Best Practice and efficient processes, to ensure material availability to meet Customer demand while optimizing the usage of production capacity.
  • Supervise and coordinate on sign-off of yearly stock targets per material for Raw and Packaging Materials, ensuring all call-offs done are within min/max.
  • Supplier performance management, indicating areas of improvements.
  • Ensure timely processing of supplier payments to prevent supply disruption.
