Main Purpose of the Job
MRP stands for Material Requirement Planning and IMM stands for Inbound Material Management and ensures availability of materials to fulfill the requirements of the production plans within the agreed cost boundaries.
Key Outputs / Deliverables
- Create an optimized replenishment plan for raw and packaging materials over an 18 month horizon that ensures supply of material to production, within the agreed cost boundaries, whilst ensuring that the working capital targets for raw and packaging materials are met.
- Monitor supply signals through the use of MRP purchase requisitions ensuring delivery dates, lead times and required quantities are correct and finally creating purchase orders and ensuring their fulfillment by the supplier.
- Manage directly with the defined supplier the delivery of materials: this include investigating errors and discrepancies on invoice lines and handling all exceptions in those operations (e.g.claims management).
- Define the stock policy and management approach to be applied to each SKU within their portfolio.
- Manage sourcing changes effectively and minimize write-offs.
- Review and maintain all relevant master data in the system.
- Ensure excellent supplier relationships and involve them in Supply Chain improvement exercises to create shared value for both Nestlé and their suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and share issues or poor supplier performance (on time, quantity & quality) with suppliers and Procurement Team.
- Support NCE/LEAN initiatives.
- Collaborate with peer Planners to share best practices, liaise with LEAN Champion, Business Excellence and Production Management to drive continuous improvement.
Measurements / Performance Indicators
- Stock cover targets in days and value for Semi Finished Goods, Raw and Packing materials
- -MSA and COF reason codes relating to material unavailability
- Material Requirement Accuracy (MRA) M-1/M-3
- Visibility of 18 month future material requirement plan
Critical Experiences
Any relevant operational experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Factory Logistics
- Materials Handling
- Manufacturing Production Scheduling (usual Nestlé name: Detailed Production Scheduling)
Sufficient understanding and practice in the following areas:
- Traditional trade offs between factories and supply chain with respect to inventory management
- LEAN, Just In Time manufacturing, Kaizen
- Language skills that enable clear communication with suppliers
