Position Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Intern at our Chocolate Factory in Toronto! We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to support our factory Maintenance team from May to August 2026. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in all facets of industrial maintenance while contributing to various projects and initiatives. This position is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life of a Maintenance Intern
As a Maintenance Intern, you will immerse yourself in diverse projects, gaining hands-on experience that will enhance your business acumen and develop your skills across multiple departments.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Analyze maintenance data (e.g., work orders, downtime trends, PM compliance) and prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives by documenting current maintenance workflows, identifying gaps, and recommending efficiency, safety, or cost‑saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (operations, engineering, safety, and supply chain) to support strategic maintenance initiatives and project milestones.
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and continuous improvement efforts, including SOP updates, maintenance planning tools, and best‑practice benchmarking.

As the successful candidate, you will be the champion for the brand throughout the organization so you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You are a team player who wants to make a difference, by inspiring people around them.
You will also:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or similar program.
- A results and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging environment
- Flexibility with working hours as required
- Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively across all functions and levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer proficiency (Word, Excel).
