Position Summary
Join our dynamic team as a ME Intern at our Chocolate Factory in Toronto! We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to support our factory ME and IT team from May to August 2026. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in all facets of industrial maintenance while contributing to various projects and initiatives. This position is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life of a Manufacturing Excellence (ME) Intern
As a ME Intern, you will immerse yourself in diverse projects, gaining hands-on experience that will enhance your business acumen and develop your skills across multiple departments.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production data to identify losses and performance gaps
- Assist in optimizing manufacturing processes using Lean, TPM, and Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) methodologies
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, and cost
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of digital performance tools and dashboards to support data‑driven decision‑making
- Help build operational excellence and digital transformation capabilities to improve factory reliability, agility, and performance
What will make you successful?
As the successful candidate, you will be the champion for the brand throughout the organization so you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You are a team player who wants to make a difference, by inspiring people around them.
You will also:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Data Analytics or similar program.
- A results and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging environment
- Flexibility with working hours as required
- Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively across all functions and levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer proficiency (Word, Excel).
