Location: Tring, Hertfordshire


Salary: £29,329 + potential 5% annual bonus + generous pension scheme + 25 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays + other fantastic benefits that you would expect from a business the size of Nestle!

 

Working pattern: Monday-Friday, Days Role. 1 hour lunch break and 2 additional 15-minute breaks.

Monday: 8:30- 18:30

Tuesday-Thursday: 8:30- 17:30

Friday: 8:30-16:30

An excellent opportunity has arisen at our Logistics Distribution Centre in Tring, Hertfordshire for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team.

 

This role offers you a chance to join an established business and play a key role in ensuring customer demand is met by managing day to day workload and flows and allocating correct resource levels to ensure customers receive a class leading service.

A day in the life of a Warehouse Team Leader

The main purpose of your role will be to ensure the delivery of outstanding warehousing services to our customers by supporting the Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day running of the warehouse operation.

 

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

 

  • Support the Warehouse Shift Manager to ensure the warehouse operation meets both internal and external customers’ requirements.
  • Ensure a strong culture of Health and Safety is adopted across all day-to-day activities.
  • Drive continuous process improvement.
  • Effectively communicate challenges to the warehouse management team and initiate problem solving where required.
  • Manage all outbound collections for both loads and PTL orders to hit customer expected timelines.

                                                                                                    

What will make you successful

We will be keen to receive applications from candidates who have a strong background in Logistics and Operations Management.

 

If you are already a Team leader/Supervisor in your current role, this will be a distinct advantage.

 

Other desirable experiences:

 

  • A strong communicator as this is a leadership role where securing buy in from team members will be essential
  • Using Warehouse Management Systems
  • Experience of resource planning and management
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong problem-solving approach
